Their story
Botanico de Havana is a scent collection from Archipelago Botanicals, the Southern California home fragrance and body care company founded by David Klass in 1997. The company started in a small garage in Santa Monica and took its name from the view of Santa Catalina Island off the coast.
The brand grew out of the founders' travels, where they noticed how local plants showed up in homes and bathing rituals. Their first products were candles and bath goods, and the line has since grown to include this warm, old-world collection.
How it's made
The collection pairs bergamot, tobacco leaf and ylang-ylang over a base of oakmoss. The candles are hand-poured with soy wax and cotton wicks, and the same scent carries through to hand wash, lotion, diffusers and soap.
Why we carry them
We think Botanico de Havana makes a handsome gift, with a scent that feels warm without being heavy. The apothecary-style packaging looks good on any shelf.
