Bow & Arrow
A Portland urban winery making Loire-inspired Oregon reds and whites.
- Founded by
- Scott Frank
- Based in
- Portland, Oregon
Their story
Bow & Arrow is the work of Scott Frank, who makes his wines in a basement on Northeast Sandy Boulevard in Portland. He calls himself one of the city's scrappy negociants, buying grapes and renting space rather than owning vineyards.
Frank takes his cues from the Loire Valley, making wines meant to be opened now and priced for everyday drinking. His Rhinestones blend of pinot noir and gamay is modeled on the red wines of Cheverny.
How it's made
Frank buys fruit from Willamette Valley growers he knows well, including a long relationship with Johan Vineyards. The wines are made in a light, approachable style built around freshness.
Our featured pick

Why we carry them
We love Bow & Arrow for bright, easy Oregon wines that taste great with a little chill. Rhinestones is a fun bottle to bring to dinner.
