Their story
Brasserie de Blaugies is a family brewery in the Hainaut countryside, close to the French border. Pierre-Alex Carlier and Marie-Noelle Pourtois started it in 1988, brewing in their family garage.
Their son Kevin took over management in 2000. In 2018 the family added a new building and equipment, but the beers are still made in the same hands-on spirit.
How it's made
The brewery makes eight beers, including La Moneuse, Saison d'Epeautre with spelt, and Biere Darbyste. All are unfiltered and refermented in the bottle or keg, using traditional methods.
Our featured pick
La Moneuse Speciale Noel Ale (375ML)
$12.00
As the label says, it's really just a richer version of La Moneuse, using 4 types of malt, hops, yeast, water, and sugar. The malt flavor is a little darker, roastier, and certainly sweeter, which.

Why we carry them
We love Blaugies for dry, earthy saisons that taste of the farm. They are wonderful with cheese and anything off the grill.
