Their story
Broc Cellars is the winery of Chris Brockway, who grew up in Omaha, studied winemaking at Fresno State and cut his teeth on California Zinfandel. He started Broc in 2002 and moved into a space in Berkeley's Gilman District in 2008.
Broc became one of the leading names in California natural wine. In 2023 the winery took on Fox Hill Vineyard in Mendocino, giving it vines of its own.
How it's made
Brockway works with organically farmed grapes from the Central Coast to Mendocino, picked early for freshness. Every wine ferments on native yeasts with nothing added, and sulfur is used sparingly, if at all, at bottling.

Why we carry them
We love Broc for lively, low-intervention wines made just across the bay. They are perfect for a picnic or a casual dinner.
