Their story
Casina Rossa is the work of Nicola DeLaurentiis, a food entrepreneur from Abruzzo, the mountainous region east of Rome. He built the line around the ingredients his home region is known for, especially black truffles and saffron.
The range is small and focused: truffle salt, air-dried black truffle slices, a saffron and sea salt blend, and olive oil from a family grove.
How it's made
Casina Rossa works with black truffles from Abruzzo. The truffle slices are cut thin, air-dried and jarred whole, and the seasoning salts blend sea salt with dried truffle or saffron threads.
Why we carry them
A pinch of Casina Rossa truffle salt makes scrambled eggs, popcorn or buttered pasta feel like an occasion. It is one of the easiest ways we know to cook with truffle at home.
