Their story
Caskshare was started by David Nicol, who also founded Craft Whisky Club, with the aim of making cask ownership open to everyday whisky drinkers rather than only collectors and investors. It launched online in early 2021.
Instead of buying a whole cask, members buy shares in one, with each share equal to one bottle. They can follow a cask from different distilleries and wood types while it matures, then receive their bottles when it is ready.
How it's made
Caskshare works with partner distilleries that fill and mature individual casks, from ex-bourbon barrels to old sherry casks. Each cask is bottled on its own when the distillery judges it ready, so every release is a true single cask.
Our featured pick
Collective Series CA.16.01: Caol Ila Distillery 8yr Islay Single Malt Scotch (700ML)
$110.00
It’s been double-matured, with a finishing spell in Moscatel-seasoned American oak casks.
Why we carry them
Single-cask bottlings let you taste one barrel at a time, without blending. Caskshare is a fun way to explore how wood and distillery shape a whisky.
