Their story
Moscatel Dorado comes from Bodegas César Florido in Chipiona, a seaside town at the mouth of the Guadalquivir in Spain's sherry country. The Florido family has been tied to winegrowing here for generations, and the bodega's traditions reach back to the 18th century. It is often called the oldest bodega in Chipiona.
Chipiona is known above all for Moscatel, and the family grows its own grapes near the sea, where Atlantic breezes shape the vineyards.
How it's made
The bodega makes its wines from estate Moscatel grapes and ages them in the traditional criaderas and solera system used throughout the sherry region.
Why we carry them
A small bottle of Moscatel Dorado is our idea of an easy dessert. Pour it with blue cheese, almond cake or over vanilla ice cream.
