Their story
Chico Honey Co. is the honey line from Olivarez Honey Bees, a Northern California beekeeping operation run by Ray Olivarez in Orland, just outside Chico. The business is best known for raising queen bees, selling packaged bees and providing hives for California's almond orchards each spring.
The team also keeps bees on the Big Island of Hawaii, and in summer the hives travel to Montana to forage on clover, alfalfa and wildflowers.
How it's made
The honey is sold raw and unfiltered, never pasteurized or blended. Varieties reflect where the bees forage, from California wildflowers to Hawaiian blossoms.
