Their story
ChimiLove is a family business run by Karen Prado and her husband, Jacques. Jacques grew up in South Africa, where cooking over fire was part of everyday life, and Karen has always loved bringing people together around a table.
The pair started the brand in 2019 after noticing how hard it was to find good South American flavors on UK shelves. What began as a way to liven up their own cooking became a small range of plant-based sauces, with chimichurri as the one people come back for.
The sauces have picked up Great Taste awards and are now sold through shops like Selfridges, Ocado and Whole Foods Market in the UK.
How it's made
The range is entirely plant-based, led by a chimichurri in the Argentine style. It comes in jars in mild and medium heat levels, ready to spoon over grilled meat, vegetables or eggs.
Why we carry them
We like having a jar of this around for any night the grill comes out. It is a quick way to add herbs and tang to steak, roasted vegetables or a simple fried egg.
