Their story
Comtesse Marion is made by the Vic family, fifth-generation growers in the Languedoc in southern France. At the center of the property stands an old château built from black volcanic stone, and the estate's roots are said to reach back to the 12th century.
The family makes a range of single-grape wines meant to be fresh, balanced and easy to enjoy.
How it's made
The vineyards sit on volcanic bedrock, with some sites on sandy clay and old riverbed soils. The family farms without pesticides or herbicides, uses only estate-grown fruit and makes the wines in a traditional way. Bottlings include Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and a Cinsault rosé.
