Their story
Cream of Kentucky was a well-known whiskey brand in the years after Prohibition, when Schenley introduced it in the mid-1930s and promoted it with advertising that included work by Norman Rockwell. The label faded after Schenley's decline.
Stephen Camisa and Jon Mowry later bought the brand and brought it back with Jim Rutledge, the longtime Kentucky distiller, and his partners. Their releases have included small-batch bourbon and a bottled-in-bond rye.
How it's made
The partners have committed to making Cream of Kentucky only with Kentucky whiskey. Their bottled-in-bond rye uses Rymin rye grain grown by a farmer in Oldham County and is bottled at 100 proof under bonded rules.
