Their story
Crooked Water Spirits was founded in 2013 by Heather Manley in Minnesota. Her interest in craft spirits started with a dill aquavit made with a huge amount of fresh dill, which showed her how much fresh ingredients could change a spirit.
The brand's lineup includes Kings Point Bourbon, gin, vodka and ready-to-pour cocktails, sold in Minnesota shops such as Kowalski's.
How it's made
Crooked Water works with partner distilleries in Wisconsin and Minnesota to produce its spirits. Its first bourbon was a two-year-old whiskey finished for six months in port barrels from a century-old winery in Portugal's Douro Valley.
Why we carry them
We like Crooked Water for a Midwest take on bourbon. The port finish adds a gentle richness that works well in a Manhattan.
