Their story
Dead of Night is a small California gin producer with its roots in Los Angeles. Its flagship, Westsider Gin, takes its name and much of its flavor from the gardens of LA's Westside, where many of its botanicals are grown.
The range has grown beyond that first gin to include a sloe gin and a navy strength bottling at 114 proof, each still built on the same idea of drinking the city's backyard.
How it's made
The distillery sources as many ingredients as it can locally or from farmers markets, including jasmine, rosemary, pink peppercorn and basil. Whole Key limes are distilled separately in neutral spirit and blended in during final proofing for a brighter citrus note. A touch of vanilla bean rounds out the finish.
Why we carry them
Westsider Gin is an easy pick for anyone who likes a herbal, citrusy gin with a sense of place. We like it in a simple gin and tonic with a sprig of rosemary.
