Their story

Charles Audoin, a fourth-generation grower, founded the domaine in 1972 with his wife, Marie-Françoise, an oenologist. They started with three hectares in Marsannay-la-Côte, just outside Dijon at the northern end of the Côte de Nuits.

Their son Cyril joined in 2000 and now runs the estate. Under his care it has grown to about 14 hectares across Marsannay, Chenôve, and Couchey.

How it's made

The estate has been certified organic since 2018 and focuses on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, with a little Aligoté. Cyril keeps a light hand in the cellar; some wines, like the Champ Salomon red, are bottled unfiltered.

Why we carry them

Marsannay is a good place to look for Burgundy that feels both classic and fairly priced. We like Audoin's single-vineyard reds for their depth and purity.
