Their story
Adrien Roustan has loved working in vineyards since he was a child. He took over vines that had belonged to his grandfather and built Domaine d'Ouréa around them, mostly within the Vacqueyras appellation in the southern Rhône.
The estate covers about 20 hectares. It makes a single white, a Clairette from Vacqueyras, and a small group of reds: a Vacqueyras, a Gigondas, and Tire Bouchon, made from old Œillade and Aramon vines.
How it's made
The vineyards are certified organic and worked vine by vine, with a horse instead of a tractor. In the cellar Adrien uses native yeasts and adds no enological products, keeping intervention to a minimum.
Why we carry them
These are southern Rhône wines with energy and freshness, not just power. We like the Vacqueyras with grilled lamb or a hearty stew.
