Their story
Domaine Vetriccie sits near the small town of Aghione on Corsica's eastern plain, the French island that lies off the coast of Tuscany. The estate is run today by owner and winemaker Daniel Barcelo.
Vetriccie has been making wine since 1966 and has grown into one of the largest vineyard holdings on the island, with more than 120 hectares of vines. Its wines are bottled under the Île de Beauté regional designation, and the same team also makes wines under the Terra d'Ortolo label.
How it's made
The estate works with Corsican and Mediterranean grapes such as Nielluccio, Sciaccarellu and Vermentino, along with some international varieties like Chardonnay in its white blend. The range covers a white, a rosé and a red, all made to be fresh and easy to drink.
Why we carry them
We like Vetriccie as an easy, affordable way into Corsican wine. The rosé is a natural fit for warm evenings and simple grilled food.
