Their story
Falcon Spirits is a small distillery in Richmond, California, founded by Farid Dormishian, a former biochemist who brought a lab-minded patience to spirits.
Its best-known bottle is Botanica Spiritvs gin, which took close to two years of trial and cultivation before release. Dormishian chose gin as his first spirit because it is a hard category to stand out in, and he treated it as a test of craft.
The distillery also makes fruit liqueurs, including a raspberry liqueur, sold through Bay Area shops.
How it's made
For Botanica Spiritvs, twelve botanicals are distilled separately and then blended, so each one can be tuned on its own. Local Meyer lemon and oroblanco grapefruit lead, with lavender, rosemary and juniper filling out the profile.
