Their story
Ferris Coffee & Nut has been part of Grand Rapids, Michigan, since 1924. Its roastery and retail shop sit on the city's west side, where the smell of roasting coffee drifts over the neighborhood.
Over the decades Ferris grew into a large wholesale roaster supplying coffee shops, grocers, restaurants and offices across West Michigan and beyond, while also selling nuts, snack mixes, teas and chocolates. It has since added its own cafes in the area.
How it's made
Ferris imports green coffee from more than 30 countries and roasts, grinds, blends and packs it on site in Grand Rapids. The lineup includes fair trade, organic and shade-grown coffees, and the company also roasts nuts and mixes its own snack blends.
