Their story
Five Farms is named for the five family dairy farms in West Cork that supply its cream: the O'Mahonys, Colemans, McCarthys, Tuthills and LJG Dairy, which grew from the Sexton family farm. Co-founder Johnny Harte, a longtime Irish drinks man from Donegal, built the brand as a joint venture with McCormick Distilling Company of Missouri.
It launched in Missouri in 2017 and spread across the United States and abroad the following year.
How it's made
The cream is made at the Silver Pail dairy in Fermoy, County Cork, and blended with Irish whiskey within 48 hours of collection. The liqueur has a high butterfat level and a larger share of whiskey than most Irish creams, with natural vanilla from Madagascar.
Why we carry them
Five Farms tastes fresher and less sugary than the usual Irish cream. We like it over ice or in an after-dinner coffee.
