Their story
GloryBee began in 1975 in the Eugene, Oregon backyard of beekeeper Dick Turanski and his wife Pat, who sold buckets of honey to friends and neighbors. Word spread, and the small honey business grew into a supplier of honey and natural ingredients for home cooks, bakers and brewers across the Willamette Valley and beyond.
The company is still family-owned. Their son Alan Turanski, a second-generation beekeeper, now serves as president, and his sister Carole is also part of the business.
How it's made
GloryBee sources honey from beekeepers certified under the True Source program, which traces honey to its origin to guard against adulteration. The range includes organic and Non-GMO Project Verified options. Since 2012 its Save the Bee initiative has funded research and education on pollinator health.
Why we carry them
We like knowing where our honey comes from, and GloryBee is clear about that. It is an easy everyday honey from a family that still keeps bees.
