Their story
Gold Vibe Kombuchary is a small brewery in Grass Valley, in California's Sierra foothills gold country. Co-founder Patrick Millar and his team started it in 2019 under the name NC Kombuchary before rebranding as Gold Vibe.
The company later opened a taproom off Loma Rica Drive, pouring around nine kombuchas, alcoholic and not, with live music, games, food trucks and local art. It was built as a family-friendly community spot as much as a brewery.
How it's made
Gold Vibe brews kombucha, a fermented tea, in two styles: a classic nonalcoholic version and a hard kombucha with alcohol. Brewing is done in Grass Valley, where the company moved its operations alongside the taproom.
