GrownAs* Foods is based in Boulder, Colorado, and was started by founder and CEO David Delcourt. It is part of Seed Ranch Flavor Co., a Colorado company known for its sauces.
The brand set out to rethink boxed mac and cheese for people who skip dairy, building its own plant-based cheese sauce from scratch. It launched Classic and Truffle varieties in 2022, each packing about 25 grams of protein, and also supplies its vegan cheese to food service.
How it's made
The cheese sauce is made from a short list of pantry ingredients, including nutritional yeast, smoked paprika, potato flour, and coconut flour. The products are non-GMO and free of nuts, soy, and added sugar, and come in a recyclable box with a compostable pouch.
