Their story

H. Clark Distillery was founded in 2014 in Thompson's Station, Tennessee, by Heath Clark, a former attorney who grew up on a farm near Lynchburg. Two of his uncles worked as engineers at Jack Daniel's, and they helped inspire his path into whiskey. His distillery became the first legal spirits producer in Williamson County in about 100 years.

Clark later teamed up with Jeff Arnett and Kris Tatum to found Company Distilling, which builds on the original H. Clark location in Thompson's Station and has since added a second site in Townsend, Tennessee.

How it's made

H. Clark made its spirits in small batches in a copper pot still heated over an open flame. The lineup included gins, bourbon, and a black and tan whiskey distilled from an oatmeal stout.

Back in 2008, I guess I was talking about it a lot, and my boss at the time said you need to just go do it.

Why we carry them

H. Clark bottles are a small piece of Tennessee craft distilling history, and worth picking up while they are still around.
