Their story

Han's Kombucha began in Hannah Hendrickson's kitchen, where she started brewing kombucha in 2015. A friend designed the label and borrowed her nickname, "Han," for the name, and the brand launched in 2018.

Kate Lubing joined as her business partner, and together they formed HK Brewing Collective. The company brews in a converted diesel repair station in Salt Lake City's Ballpark District, where it also runs a taproom.

How it's made

Han's ferments sweetened tea with a SCOBY, the culture of bacteria and yeast that turns tea into kombucha. The brewery started with one-gallon jars and now ferments in 500-gallon tanks before flavoring and packaging.

Why we carry them

We like Han's as a lively, not-too-sweet kombucha from a small independent brewery. It is a good pick for anyone skipping alcohol who still wants something with bite.
