Their story

Hardin's Creek is a series of limited releases from the James B. Beam Distilling Co., overseen by Freddie Noe, master distiller of the Fred B. Noe Distillery in Clermont, Kentucky, and son of Beam master distiller Fred Noe.

The name goes back to 1795, when Jacob Beam settled in Kentucky and drew water from a creek called Hardin's Creek. The series launched in 2022 with two bourbons, Jacob's Well, a blend of 15- and 16-year-old bourbons, and Colonel James B. Beam, a two-year-old whiskey, and new releases follow each year.

How it's made

Each release pulls from Beam's rarest stocks or tries something unusual with mash bill, age or proof. The whiskeys are distilled and aged in Kentucky at Beam's Clermont and Boston facilities and released in small, annual batches.

Why we carry them

We like Hardin's Creek for bourbon fans who want to taste what a big distillery does when it experiments. Each release is a small, one-time look at Beam's stocks.
