Their story

Alison Cayne opened Haven's Kitchen in New York City in 2012 as a cooking school, with the goal of making home cooks feel more confident. The school also became a cafe and event space.

Students and guests kept asking for the sauces served in class, so the team began selling them in pint containers with a three-day shelf life. After buyers showed interest at the 2017 Fancy Food Show, Haven's Kitchen reworked its best sellers for grocery shelves, and the sauces are now sold at stores across the country.

How it's made

The sauces are made from fresh ingredients without heat cooking them down, then packed in squeezable, resealable pouches. High-pressure processing keeps them safe in the refrigerator while preserving their fresh flavor. Flavors include chimichurri and red pepper romesco.

I opened Haven's Kitchen really to change the way people felt about cooking.

Why we carry them

We like Haven's Kitchen sauces for fast weeknight dinners that still taste homemade. Squeeze some over roasted vegetables, grain bowls or grilled chicken.
