Their story
Heater Allen is a small father-daughter brewery run by Rick Allen and his daughter Lisa in McMinnville, in the heart of Oregon wine country. Lisa came to brewing from wine production.
The brewery focused on lager years before lager caught on in American craft beer, and it has grown slowly on its own terms. It is now widely respected among brewers for its clean, traditional lagers.
How it's made
Heater Allen ferments its beers cold in a very small brewhouse and gives them long conditioning time on the yeast rather than rushing them out. The team uses first-wort hopping for smooth bitterness and keeps adjusting its process to refine each lager.

Why we carry them
We think Heater Allen makes some of the best lagers on the West Coast. Their pils is a great choice for anyone who thinks lager is boring.
