Their story
Hebel & Co. was started in 2017 by brothers Eric and Scott Hebel and Scott's wife, Katie. The brothers' parents were born and raised in Israel, and halva, the sesame-based sweet, was a weekend breakfast staple at home, often spread on a bagel.
They decided to make their own and share that childhood treat with other families. Scott leads flavor development, and the line includes inventive versions alongside classic styles.
How it's made
Hebel & Co. makes halva from a sesame base, then adds fillings and mix-ins for its flavors, such as a dark chocolate chunk version and one with potato chips and chocolate hazelnut.
