Their story
Hogsworth is the work of Raj Peter Bhakta, who founded WhistlePig rye in Vermont in 2007 and left the company about a decade later. He used the proceeds to buy a chateau in France's Armagnac region, along with its stocks of aged brandy, and launched Bhakta Spirits from a former college campus in Poultney, Vermont.
Hogsworth arrived in September 2024 as a new kind of bottle that puts bourbon and Armagnac together instead of keeping them apart.
How it's made
Master blender Pete Lynch built the recipe. An early blend paired roughly equal parts bourbon, from two four-year-old whiskeys made in Tennessee and Minnesota, with Armagnac from three vintages reaching back to 1982.
Why we carry them
We like a bottle that starts a conversation, and this one does. Bourbon drinkers curious about brandy should give it a try.
