Their story
Insólito is a tequila made in partnership with the country band Midland, whose members helped shape its style. Founder and CEO Pete Kelly leads the business side.
The tequila is distilled by brothers Octavio and Alberto Herrera at NOM 1558 in Mazamitla, Jalisco, a mountain town at roughly 7,200 feet. The range includes blanco, reposado and añejo.
How it's made
Mature 100% Blue Weber agave from Los Altos and the Tequila Valley is cooked in low-pressure autoclaves and crushed with a roller mill. The juice ferments in stainless steel and is double distilled in stainless pot stills, then cut with local spring water. It has been confirmed additive-free.
Why we carry them
Celebrity tequilas can be hit or miss, but this one is made with care and no additives. Start with the blanco to taste the agave.
