Their story
Kava Haven grew out of a friendship. The founders were introduced to kava, the root drink of the South Pacific, by a friend from Fiji, and came away convinced that an alcohol-free evening did not have to feel like giving something up.
They spent many rounds adjusting a recipe before landing on a bottled kava spirit, which the brand introduced in 2024. In 2026 it reached shelves at Erewhon in Southern California.
How it's made
Kava Haven extracts Pacific kava and blends it with notes of citrus, white grape and ginger. The 750ml spirit is meant to be poured neat, over ice, or swapped one-for-one for liquor in a cocktail.
