Their story

Kekoa Foods is named for the son of founders Danny Auld and David Fullner. Kekoa was born eight weeks early in Honolulu and spent several weeks in the NICU, and once he came home, Fullner, who loves to cook, started making and freezing food for him.

Those home-cooked recipes became the starting point for the brand. The couple raised early funds on Kickstarter in 2018 and began selling directly to families in 2022.

How it's made

The pouches are shelf stable and built on flavors the family cooks every day, like apple and ginger, peas and mint, and squash and kale with turmeric. They are aimed at babies six months and up, but designed with ingredients the whole family can share.

We want really great ingredients that are available to the whole family.
David Fullner, co-founder, to Food Business News (2023)

Why we carry them

We like that Kekoa introduces little ones to herbs and spices early. The pouches are easy to toss in a bag for the park.
