Berlin

Their story

Kolonne Null comes from Kolonnenstrasse in Berlin, where artist Philipp Rößle started the brand. Kolonne also means column in German, a fitting coincidence since the column is the piece of equipment used to remove alcohol from wine.

Rößle and cellarmaster Felix Fischer approach alcohol-free wine as a craft of its own, partnering with established family wineries in several countries to make reds, whites, rosés and sparkling wines.

How it's made

The wines start as real wine from the same grape varieties used for regular bottlings, with harvest timing and fermentation adjusted for the final style. The alcohol is then removed in a way meant to keep aroma, and the brand runs a small lab in Berlin for testing.

Our brand was born in Kolonnen Street in Berlin.

Why we carry them

We recommend Kolonne Null to anyone skipping alcohol who still wants a glass with real wine character at dinner.
