Their story

LaCroix was born in La Crosse, Wisconsin, in 1980, when the G. Heileman Brewing Company launched it as a homegrown alternative to imported sparkling waters like Perrier. For about a decade it was mostly a Midwestern favorite.

Heileman sold the brand in 1992 to the company now known as National Beverage, which still owns it. After a social media push in the mid-2010s, the brightly colored cans caught on with a new generation and LaCroix became one of the best-known sparkling waters in the country.

How it's made

LaCroix is carbonated water flavored with fruit essences, which the company says are all natural. The lineup ranges from single fruits to blends.

Why we carry them

We keep LaCroix cold for anyone who wants something bubbly and lightly fruity without a sweet soda.
