La Herencia De Sanchez
Family mezcal from Romulo Sanchez Parada's palenque in Candelaria Yegole, Oaxaca.

Their story
La Herencia de Sanchez, "the Sanchez inheritance," is the mezcal of Romulo Sanchez Parada, who carries on his family's long tradition of mezcal making in Candelaria Yegole, Oaxaca.
Romulo bottles mezcal from his own palenque under this label, which has been sold in Mexico for years. He and his family also make Rey Campero, the brand better known outside Mexico.
How it's made
The mezcal is made in small batches by Romulo and his family at their palenque and bottled as mezcal artesanal, a certified category tied to traditional methods. The range includes Espadin as well as special bottlings such as pechuga and a ponche de frutas style.
Why we carry them
We like La Herencia de Sanchez for honest, family-made mezcal straight from the source, a great bottle for getting to know Oaxaca.
