Their story

La Petite Lune is a joint project of Olivier Bernard, who runs Domaine de Chevalier in Pessac-Leognan, and Stephane Derenoncourt, the consulting winemaker who also advises Chevalier.

The red and white debuted in 2016 with the 2014 red and 2015 white vintages. The label borrows the 18th-century style design created for Clos des Lunes, a sister property.

How it's made

Wine is selected from a range of Bordeaux estates that Derenoncourt advises. Each lot is made under his eye, and Bernard then blends them, which helps keep quality steady even in harder vintages.

Why we carry them

We like La Petite Lune as an easy way into classic Bordeaux, made by people with serious pedigree at a weeknight price.
