Their story
Lecarré is a range of French spirits made by a seventh-generation family distillery in Saint-Palais-de-Négrignac, in southwestern France, whose history goes back to 1830.
The name nods to the Vieux Carré, the French Quarter of New Orleans, and the brand set out to capture the feel of that city's classic cocktail bars. The range includes a Very Special French brandy, vermouths, and a brandy and orange liqueur.
How it's made
The family distillery handles distilling, herbal preparations and aging in-house, which lets it make the brandy, the vermouths and the liqueur under one roof. The range is designed with classic cocktails in mind.
Why we carry them
We like Lecarré as a well-priced French brandy for cocktails like the Sazerac or Vieux Carré. It brings old-school New Orleans drinks within easy reach at home.
