Their story
Legendario Domingo was founded in 2012 by Julian Saenger, who was born and raised in Mexico, working in partnership with the Velasco family. The idea was to share mezcals that show how much the spirit changes from one region to the next.
The range draws from several states, including an Espadín from San Luis del Río in Oaxaca, a Cupreata from Guerrero, and an ensamble from Michoacán.
How it's made
Each mezcal follows the distilling traditions of its own region. Agaves are roasted in earthen pits, fermented with wild yeasts, and distilled in small batches by local producers.
Why we carry them
We like Legendario Domingo as a way to taste across regions of Mexico side by side. Start with the Oaxaca Espadín, then compare it with the Guerrero bottling.
