Los Dos
Clean, additive-free tequila from a family estate in Arandas, Jalisco.
- Founded by
- Jeremy Levine
Their story
Los Dos was started by entrepreneur Jeremy Levine and a small group of tequila fans who wanted honest, well-made tequila at a fair price. Their goal was to bring more quality and transparency to the tequila sold in the United States.
The tequila is made with the Vivanco family, who have grown agave in Arandas, in the highlands of Jalisco, since the 1920s. Sergio Vivanco, a fifth-generation jimador and third-generation tequilero, leads their Destilería El Ranchito.
Los Dos is described as the first tequila approved to print "No Additives" on its label. In 2022 the company named Gregory Gatti as its CEO.
How it's made
The Vivanco family farms its agave organically in Los Altos de Jalisco. Production at Destilería El Ranchito (NOM 1414) skips shortcuts like diffusers, autoclaves and column stills. Nothing is added to the finished tequila.
Why we carry them
We like Los Dos as an everyday tequila with nothing to hide. It comes from a respected highland family and is priced for mixing as well as sipping.
