Their story
Gabi Lewis and Greg Sewitz met at Brown University and had already built and sold one food company together, a protein bar brand made with cricket flour, before turning to breakfast. Their idea was simple: bring back the fun of Saturday morning cereal for grown-ups who had given it up.
Magic Spoon launched in 2019 in New York as an online-only brand and later moved into grocery stores across the country. The company is based in Brooklyn and has since added protein bars, toaster pastries and marshmallow cereals.
How it's made
The cereal is built on milk proteins, casein and whey, instead of grain, which keeps it gluten-free and high in protein. It is sweetened with monk fruit and allulose rather than sugar, and flavored to echo classics like fruity, cocoa and frosted.

Why we carry them
We like Magic Spoon for the nostalgia hit without the sugar crash. A bowl tastes like childhood and keeps you full past mid-morning.
