Their story
Monte Tondo is run by the Magnabosco family in Soave, in the province of Verona. Gino Magnabosco, a longtime grower, oversees each step from vineyard to bottle.
The family farms more than 32 hectares on the hills of Monte Tenda, Monte Foscarino, and Monte Tondo, the hill that gives the winery its name. Along with Soave, they make Valpolicella reds and host visitors at their agriturismo.
How it's made
The vineyards grow on volcanic soils, which give the white wines a crisp, mineral edge. The family pairs traditional winemaking with modern equipment.
Why we carry them
Monte Tondo is a good reminder that Soave can be lively and full of character. We like it with seafood, risotto, or a simple salad.
