Their story
Mother Earth Brew Co. was founded in 2010 in Vista, in north San Diego County, by Daniel Love and Kamron Khannakhjavani. It has stayed family-owned, with members of both families involved in running it.
A tap house in Vista followed in 2012, and the brewery started canning in late 2014. In 2016 it opened a large production brewery and tasting room in Nampa, Idaho, outside Boise. Along the way its beers have picked up medals at the San Diego International Beer Competition.
How it's made
The brewery uses malted barley from Great Western Malting in Idaho and hops from Washington. The lineup runs from the Cali Creamin' vanilla cream ale and Boo Koo IPA to Tierra Madre lager and Sin Tax, an imperial peanut butter stout.
Why we carry them
Cali Creamin' is a smooth, easygoing beer that wins over people who say they don't like beer. We also like having a reliable San Diego IPA like Boo Koo on hand.
