Their story
Nature's Bakery started in 2011 with a simple goal: put better snacks within reach of more people, at prices that made sense during a tough economy. The company grew out of Reno, Nevada, and built its name on the soft-baked fig bar.
Those bars caught on fast. Nature's Bakery is now sold in around 100,000 stores across the country and has baked its fig bars in the billions. The company is now part of KIND, within the Mars family of companies.
How it's made
The bars are soft-baked in the company's own bakeries and are plant-based, dairy-free, nut-free and Non-GMO Project Verified. Figs are Smyrna figs from Turkey's Aydin region, where the main supplier uses drip irrigation, solar-powered processing and the whole fruit to cut down on waste.
