Their story

Off Hours is the bourbon brand Jake Ireland started in 2020. Ireland, who had worked in sports medicine and venture capital, grew up in Indiana and found most bourbon marketing too focused on history and rules to feel personal.

He set out to build something more relaxed, a bourbon about who you share it with rather than how old the label is. The brand has picked up gold and double gold medals and is poured at restaurants and shops in Southern California and beyond.

How it's made

Off Hours sources its bourbon from a distillery in small-town Indiana, near where Ireland grew up. His team spent about two years developing the mash bill, and the finished whiskey shows vanilla, nutmeg, toasted pecan and cinnamon.

Who you're drinking it with and how you're spending your time are just as important to me.
Jake Ireland, founder, to Palisadian-Post (2023)

Why we carry them

We like Off Hours as a smooth, friendly bourbon that works neat or in an old fashioned. It is an easy bottle to bring to a get-together.
