Their story
Other Half was started in 2014 by Samuel Richardson, Matt Monahan and Andrew Burman, who felt New York City deserved more local beer. They opened their brewery in Brooklyn, near Carroll Gardens.
IPA has been at the center from the start, and it makes up most of what they brew. The brewery built its following on aromatic, hop-heavy beers and a steady stream of collaborations with other brewers, while branching out into barrel-aged and mixed-fermentation beers.
How it's made
Most Other Half beers are IPAs that lean on big hop aroma, with the house IPA drawing on classic West Coast hops like Cascade, Centennial and Chinook. The brewery has also invested in oak foeders for beers fermented with a house mixed-culture yeast blend.
Why we carry them
We carry Other Half for anyone who wants a juicy, aromatic IPA from one of the East Coast's best-known hop specialists.
