Their story
Outward is the label of Ryan Pace and Natalie Siddique, a couple who met rock climbing and started making wine together in 2016 on California's Central Coast, around the San Luis Obispo coast.
They buy fruit from a handful of growers they trust, including Bassi Vineyard on a sandstone hillside above the Pacific, Shell Creek, Massa Vineyard and Presqu'ile in the Santa Maria Valley, plus sites in the Santa Ynez Valley. Their range is broad, running from Cabernet Sauvignon to rarities like Valdiguié and Vaccarèse.
How it's made
Every vineyard Outward works with has been organically farmed since the start. In the cellar the wines ferment with native yeast, age mostly in neutral oak, and go into bottle without fining or filtering.
Our goal isn't to make a cookie-cutter, ultra-polished wine
Why we carry them
We love Outward for wines with real personality from the Central Coast. Their lighter reds are great with a slight chill.
