Their story

Tenute dei Paladini is a family winery in western Sicily, in the province of Trapani, with vineyards spread between Petrosino, Mazara del Vallo and Salemi. It was started in the 1930s by Matteo Paladino.

His son Paolo carried it on, and today the founder's grandsons, Matteo and Emanuela Paladino, run the estate's roughly 60 hectares as the third generation.

How it's made

The family grows traditional Sicilian grapes such as Nero d'Avola, Grillo, Grecanico, Inzolia, Moscato Bianco and Zibibbo, along with some Merlot, Syrah and Chardonnay. The wines are made from the estate's own vineyards.

Why we carry them

We like Paladini for an easy introduction to Sicilian grapes like Grillo and Nero d'Avola at the dinner table.
