Paolo Lazzaroni & Figli is a family bakery in Saronno, a town just north of Milan that has been tied to amaretti for centuries. The Lazzaroni family has been baking there since the early 1700s and traces its amaretti to a recipe from that era.
The business is now run by Luca Lazzaroni, the eighth generation of the family, and its amaretti are sold under the Chiostro di Saronno name.

The company still bakes in Saronno and stays close to the family's long-standing amaretti recipe, which has been handed down through eight generations.
