Their story
Pentire was started by Alistair Frost, a former surf instructor on the north Cornwall coast who went on to work in London selling premium spirits. There he noticed how many people in the trade and beyond were cutting back on alcohol.
He wanted to make an alcohol-free spirit that tasted of the coastline he knew, and named it after the headland near the company's home in Port Isaac. Pentire soft-launched in Cornwall in 2019 before heading to London.
How it's made
Pentire builds its flavor on plants native to the Cornish coast, such as rock samphire, sea purslane, sage and sea rosemary. The spirit is distilled, then bottled and labeled by hand. It contains no added sugar or artificial colors or flavors.

Why we carry them
We like Pentire with tonic and a slice of citrus when we want something herbal and dry without alcohol. It tastes a bit like a walk along the sea.
