Their story
Pineapple Collaborative grew out of a potluck. In 2015, Ariel Pasternak and Atara Bernstein gathered 30 women who loved food for a dinner in Washington, D.C., and the idea of a community for women in food took hold.
They launched the company nationally in 2017, and the community has since grown to more than 100,000 members. From there they moved into pantry staples, working with women producers in their network to make an olive oil and an apple cider vinegar, packaged in bright blues, yellows and pinks.
How it's made
Each product is made in partnership with a woman producer: The Olive Oil comes from olive oil maker Kathryn Tomajan, and The Apple Cider Vinegar is made by Joanne Krueger. The founders focus on sourcing from and supporting women throughout the food world.
We strongly believe that community is much more powerful than competition.
Why we carry them
We like a pantry staple with a good story behind it, and this one celebrates the women who make our food. The bottles also make an easy, cheerful gift.
